Action on Elder Abuse (AEA) Northern Ireland is a specialist charity working to protect older people from all forms of abuse and neglect. We support those experiencing (or at risk of) abuse, as well as raising awareness and advocating for effective prevention.
We're part of the organisation Action on Elder Abuse, who work across England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland. We were the first charity to address elder abuse and remain the only charity in the United Kingdom working exclusively on the issue today.
We have the expertise to support victims, their families, and those who care for them.
Crimes against older people in Northern Ireland "half as likely to be solved"
We are asking you to complete this short survey to help us gather public feedback on the perception of elder abuse in today’s society. As part of Positive Ageing Month we want to know how your views!
Elder abuse includes, but it is not limited to neglect, physical attacks, sexual assault, theft, and bullying or harassment.
There are only 10 questions and the information gathered will identify key issues and challenges that will enhance learning and development in Northern Ireland.
The information you provide in this questionnaire will be treated in confidence and any use of the information provided will not identify you.
If you would like to speak to someone about this survey please contact Veronica Gray on 07496663816 or Tara Smyth on 07747380733.
