Glenda Watt is a registered social worker and was a registered general and psychiatric nurse. She  was responsible for Initiating and establishing the Scottish Older People’s Assembly (SOPA) as a Scottish Charitable Incorporated, regularly attends the Scottish Government’s advisory / policy development groups for older people; housing strategy for older people; development of health and social care standards; care of people with dementia in hospitals and palliative and end of life care. She is Chair of the Board of Directors for ACEIT Scotland in June 2016. This is a Scottish charitable organisation offering computer training for older people. She represents on matters relating to Scotland on the Board.
