Universal Beneficent Society

is a charity which helps nearly 1,100 people over the age of 70 years in the UK who are living on very low incomes.  The charity provides a regular additional income guaranteed for life, emergency grants, advice and information, Christmas food hampers and cash gifts, and bedding packs.

 

Victim Support

Victim Support provides practical advice and help, emotional support and reassurance to those who have suffered the effects of a crime.

 

Wales Domestic Abuse Helpline

 

The Wales Domestic Abuse Helpline is a bilingual free and confidential information and support service for anyone experiencing domestic abuse or concerned about someone. The friendly trained Helpline Support Workers are non-judgmental and don't pressure callers to take action. The helpline can talk about possible options and services available such as; emergency accommodation, face-to-face support, counselling, welfare and benefit rights, housing and legal issues, child welfare and perpetrator programmes, or if the caller just wants to talk then we will listen. Wales Rural Forum

The Rural Resource is a project set up by Wales Rural Forum and financed by the Welsh Assembly Government (Environment, Planning and Countryside Department) and European Objective 1 Funds (EAGGF).

* to use ICT to create an online resource for rural communities

* to draw together information relating to rural affairs and issues affecting rural communities in Wales

* to showcase initiatives

* to provide opportunities for networks to ‘virtually’ share information, and to give organisations such as the Welsh Assembly Government a conduit to inform organisations and the community alike of their programmes, relevant to rural Wales.

 

Witness against abuse by health and care workers

Witness helps people who have been abused by health or social care professionals and seeks to prevent future abuse.  They are also a major partner with AEA.

Womens Aid

A national domestic violence charity.  Also runs a domestic violence helpline 08457 023 468.
