Action on Elder Abuse (AEA):
We work to protect, and prevent the abuse of, vulnerable older adults and by doing so we also protect other adults a risk of abuse. We were the
first charity to address these problems and are the only charity in the UK and in Ireland working exclusively on the issue today. Consequently,
when you provide support to us, or make a donation, you can be sure that it will be used exclusively on issues relating to elder abuse and nothing else.
Our work is fundamental to challenging elder abuse:
In the UK we constantly need financial support to continue our activities. Although we are as effective as many of the bigger charities, we receive only a fraction of their income. Help us continue to make a difference. There are a variety of options for making donations to us. Use text on your mobile phone, the JustGiving logo, or click on the 'Support us' link to find out more. Together we can end elder abuse.
We really need your help to keep doing what we do. You could run, cycle, trek, donate, and do a lots of other things to help us.
We need volunteers for our helpline and support in our office. It means helping very vulnerable people, and that has rewards in itself.
We've launched our 2013 campaign for adequate adult safeguarding systems, and a new elder abuse law.
Members of AEA receive our newsletter, regular email newsflashes, and discounts on conferences, training, etc. (Free for older people)
