Pillemer, K and Hudson, B. (1993) A model abuse prevention program for nursing assistants. The Gerontologist, vol. 33 no. 1, pp 128-132. An abuse prevention programme was designed for use by nursing assistants in long term care facilities. The programme had three aims, to increase staff awareness of actual and potential abuse, to provide appropriate prevention strategies and to therefore to reduce abuse.
