Cascade training for Statutory groups

What is it?

AEA has developed a unique cascade training course called Time for Action - which enables organisations to acquire the skills and training materials needed to train all their own staff and volunteers in awareness and understanding of elder abuse.

How does it work?

The package is designed as 'cascade' training and is initially targeted towards staff who train, or wish to train, other staff.

Who is it for?

It is emphasised that the day is NOT for learning about elder abuse – it is designed for those already familiar with issues of elder abuse but who are less experienced in training and therefore wish to gain confidence, skills and materials for training colleagues.

The training is most appropriate for those who will be cascading the training to colleagues who deliver ‘hands-on’ care or direct services (e.g. care assistants, day centre workers).  Delegates are sent briefing notes before the course to help them prepare.

If you would prefer the training to be delivered direct to you and your colleagues, either email or ring 020 8765 7000 and ask for our training coordinator.

Course content

bulleta video of scenarios showing where and how abuse might take place
bulletInformation about what is abuse, why it occurs and who are the abusers
