Job Opportunity: Fundraising Officer - £25,492 to £27,742 (incl. LW)

This is a challenging position with growth opportunities for the right candidate. You will be responsible for developing and managing a varied portfolio of corporate donors, trusts and foundations. You will be expected to maintain and increase support from existing funders whilst also identifying opportunities for engaging new ones.

The Fundraising Officer will work with the Fundraising Manager to ensure that the charity can generate significant income to enable it to sustain and develop its policy and educational work, and national helpline services.

The right candidate will possess good presentation skills and will be able to get along in a small yet amiable office environment. S/he will research potential donors and trusts, prepare bids and organise fundraising events and activities. Experience in and/or knowledge of sponsorship and direct mailing will be an advantage. The post also offers experience and will challenge someone looking to develop their career in charity fundraising across the UK and Ireland.

The position reports to the Fundraising Manager who can coach and guide the right candidate towards a Certificate in Fundraising Management from the Institute of Fundraising Management as a part of his/her career development..
