Why did we choose this partnership?

Because it is the key issue within the sector and Southern Cross want to be in the forefront of stamping out any abuse in any care setting. 

How do you benefit?

We benefit from being recognised as a company who has zero tolerance on any abuse as we clearly identify that through our comprehensive whistle blowing policy. 

Did you have any reservations?

Of course I had reservations, particularly if I was highlighting any abuse if it were to occur in any of our homes>  But once it has been identified we resolve the issues and take the appropriate action.

What are you plans for the future?

Our plans for the future.  We have recently raised some £20,000 for red nose to support Elder Abuse.  Southern Cross have sponsored Elder Abuse for £50,000, and within the group I have emphasised the importance of the fund raising for Action on Elder Abuse.
